CWU Launches 13th 5-Year Plan for Career Development

On July 21, China Women’s University (CWU) held a senior-level associates meeting in the campus lecture hall, officially launching the "13th Five-Year Plan" for career development.

Li Mingshun, chairperson of CWU Council, delivered an introductory speech. President Liu Liqun presided over the meeting. Further attendees included CWU vice-president Song Shengju, Liu Meng, and all the university's senior-level associates, as well as relevant staff of different departments.

Li pointed out that the plan lays out the direction and level of development on the issue. The establishment of "13th Five-Year Plan" is a form of strategic planning on comprehensively deepening reform, as initiated at the 18th CPC National Congress. Promoting education reform is a key way to accelerate the construction of the "four centers" and maintain CWU as a first-class women's university.

Li added, “we should fully understand the significance of the "13th Five-Year Plan" for career development, take it as a fundamental basis for guidance, standards, and use it to evaluate all school affairs. It is there to promote the development of the school through overall planning.”

Li Ming Shun stressed that CWU should strengthen it systematic awareness, take planning as the lead, and take comprehensive reform as a breakthrough point. To improve teaching quality with regular evaluation and construction, as well as evoking teacher’s vitality through the appointment system, CWU should view their relations properly.

Li said, “we should adhere to the principle of the ‘assessment first, brainstorm together, planning and coordination’; focus on the summary and evaluation work of the "13th Five-Year Plan"; review the goals and gather consensus; collect data, identify the problem and finally promote the reform and take necessary measures.
