CWU Maintains Better Performance among Reprint Count, Index Ranking of Academic Journals


The Academic Journal of China Women's University (CWU) kept up its momentum of ranking highly on the index of having the most reprinted academic articles in 2014, according to statistics.
The statistics were released by the Library Journal of Information Research Center of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law based on its survey of the searched entries by the Information Center for Social Sciences of Renmin University of China.

There were 14 articles from CWU publication that were reprinted among 125 research topics on social sciences, and 15 top Chinese academic digest journals and print media, such as Xinhua Digest and The Academic Digest of Liberal Arts Colleges, according to the Duplicated Materials from Newspapers and Periodicals report of the Information Center for Social Sciences of Renmin University of China;.

Among them, Xinhua Digest reprinted one article in full and quoted some key points and part of another. As for the Academic Digest of Liberal Arts Colleges, there were four articles extracted. Duplicated Materials from Newspapers and Periodicals reprinted eight, whilst retrieving and recording as many as 101 citations from the articles.

The following is the rank of the index of reprinting academic articles in 2014:
According to the statistics conducted on around 140 research entries, there were 30,525 articles from 2,376 journals reprinted, among which 14 articles were released by the Academic Journal of CWU, with a rank of 629th overall.

Almost 21,305 articles from 1,982 journals were reprinted among the 125 special topics on social sciences by Duplicated Materials from Newspapers and Periodicals, of which eight were from the Academic Journal of CWU, making it 716th in the corresponding rankings.

Around 2,727 articles from 632 journals had been reprinted among the “C group” (concerning politics) by the Duplicated Materials from Newspapers and Periodicals, of which seven were from the Academic Journal of CWU,  ranking it 120th.

There were 59 articles from 33 journals reprinted among the special topic of women's research in Duplicated Materials from Newspapers and Periodicals, from which six articles were released by the Academic Journal of CWU, ranking it in second place.

Around 1,394 articles from 368 journals were reprinted by the Academic Digest of Liberal Arts Colleges, from which four articles were released by the Academic Journal of CWU, with a ranking of 94th.

In addition, a total of 14 articles were reprinted on the 140 research entries, ranking it 45th among the Comprehensive University Journals.

Our outstanding performance on the reprinting of articles proves that CWU has made a great effort on improving the journal's quality and influence as the promotion of its journal is constructed. Obviously, the CWU's results have raised wide attention among academic circles whilst winning their appreciation.
