Editors Mull Enhancements to 'Journal of ChinaWomen’s University'

Cai Feng, editor-in-chief of Journal of ChinaWomen’s University, led editorial staff on a research trip to the University of International Relations (UIR) and China Youth University of Political Studies (CYUPS) on April 14 and April 29, with a view to renaming and improving the academic publication.

In 2013, the UIR's journal was updated to Journal of International Security Studies, whilst in 2015 CYUPS renamed their journal to Journal of China Youth College for Political Sciences. With all the efforts made, these two journals have enjoyed great progress in enhancing professionalism and in-depth research projects, and provided academic guidance to teachers and students, according to editors.

Journals are the torchbearers for any university's research departments and an academic platform on which to reach the general public. Hence they require a professional, distinctive and optimal path of development, said staff.

After two years of reforms, the Journal of International Security Studies has become popular in its field and its articles are frequently reprinted by other journals.

The particular measures and experiences around reforms were shared among editorial staff of the journals during the visit. It is hoped that the problems and solutions discussed will help serve to promote the building of  a Core journal at China Women’s University.
